Hulidoo Kandu

Experience level: Suitable for all experiences when the current is weak or medium. Stonger currents restrict the site to experienced divers.

Fauna: Napoleons, turtles, moray eels and a lot of colorful reef fish. Keep an eye out in the blue water for pelagic fish. Black corals can be found deeper than 20 m.

Particular features: Caves and overhangs.

During the North-East Monsoon: The current usually flows from East to West, so the reef is on your left side. The sound side of the site has overhangs between 12 and 20m. Upon reaching the corner, head closer to the drop off to enjoy some larger fish action. The top reef offers the chacne to find turtles.

During the South-West Monsoon: The current usually flows from West to East. Start the dive inside the channel and reach the corner to enjoy the coral blocks and reef fish. The dive ends on the outer reef.

Safety considerations: Be aware of potential strong currents, especially when the current is flowing out of the Atoll.
