Read more... →It would appear that Maayafushi is a turtle nesting hotspot as one evening last week, 6 cute baby turtles were discovered emerging from their nest and heading towards the ocean. Further investigation revealed hundreds of tiny ‘footprints’ in the sand suggesting that there had in fact been a full nest of perhaps 100+ turtles hatching.

Read more... →At first we could not properly identify them, but their unique sound was a giveaway … The lucky group of divers at Maayafushi this week saw a school of dolphins at Manta Point, also known as Emas Thila. This dive site is normally known for Manta Rays, but highlighting the fact there is much more on offer, we were graced with the appearance of a pod of Dolphins!
