After successfully organizing Greta’s birthday boat, we were told by our guests that TGI Maayafushi was extremely good at managing diving activites. Flattered by that, we took an unanimous decision that we would carry on doing what we’re best at. Similarly to Fabio and Federico who completed their PADI Open Water Diver courses, and are certain to do many more dives in the future – congratulations!

We’ve been forced to take a rain check on TGI Maayafushi after work sunset drinks as the weather hasn’t been treating us nicely last few days. However we’ve moved our mingling activities indoors and our guests don’t seem to be bothered by the lack clear skies – the diving is still fantastic and the cool evening breeze is something everyone in Europe wishes for right now, so we’re still on the winning side!

Finding courage at TGI Maayafushi

This week seen some great achievements and we at TGI Maayafushi are happy to have played a part in it. Although we’ve had some hot sunny days on the island, not everyone was confident to take the plunge and cool down in the water. Roberto was a bit reluctant to join us for a Discover Scuba Diving session due to his fear of deep water, however our sensitive instructors have good knowledge and skills as to how to deal with students like Roberto. Hesitant at first, Roberto trusted his guide Modu fully, and experienced something that was way beyond his expectations.

Welcome to the team, Modu!

Welcome to the team, Modu!

This week saw our new snorkel guide, Modu, arrive at Maayafushi! He has already been in the water, taking guests out on snorkelling trips, and all have come back incredibly enthusiastic about the excursions!

One of the highlights from this week was the trip that Modu organised to Geburigaa Lagoon, which is a spot where the majestic Manta rays can be seen.

The guests were not disappointed as 6 of them were spotted
